It has taken me a few days after I arrived at Southampton at all to gather the energy to put keys of my experiences here, in pictures and text. But now I'm getting back on track after a few exhausting days.
The first few days have gone shopping in, take in IKEA, open bank account, put the phone up, sit at Starbucks (mostly because there is free wifi - but I do get drunk some coffee!) technika manuals And much more. But I've also had time to explore the area and the city a little.
Between the center and the area I live in is a large park that shares most of the inner city into two. It is a really beautiful place, which is used a lot of the city's residents. Right now, it's lovely weather over here, so it's natural to spend some time there.
I live right on the edge of an area called Newton, who is one of the areas in the city which is home to some immigrants, especially Indians. I live in the house with scaffolding outside. I attach some pictures of my room one of the next few days so you can see how I live. Right now it's relatively anonymous, but I have gotten even a single flower in IKEA, which helps a bit.
Tomorrow I plan to visit a local vegetable market, along with other Erasmus students I have met over here. I'm looking forward to experience. It is really nice weather over here these days, so it's great to walk around outside!

Yes, this very small 'terrace' as they call the street because it is located next to a major street is really nice, I think. First, we three girls from the studio in Denmark living together. Line, Randi and me. We live in a small three bedroom apartment with a kitchen-al room, two bedrooms and a bathroom. We take turns to sleep on the couch, but it is now well. :)
The second room, my, where Randi's stuff is also stored. ;) Introductory weekend continues. Dean had invited to ice and keep as up to a queue! When students hear the word free, so come ALL! The temperature was very high, and we were more strongly considered going when the queue was simply too long and that the ice was probably small. But where we were wrong! When America gives anything away, so give ANYTHING away. We got giant balls, even two scoops of ice cream, and then there was also a large buffet with all kinds of toppings and a large bucket with chocolate sauce. We would all have to try it all, so it resulted in that we all felt bad most of the day.
Three times potions. Mmmh! After much ice and more ice, so we spent the rest of the day walking around and enjoy ourselves in the city. The evening had two of the others from the studio invited all the other Danes on American burgers. It was mega cozy, but my how was it hot! We ended up sitting 12-15 people in a room with air conditioning, otherwise we died of heat stroke. After hours we were picked up by Thomas (one of the girls' laboratory, who has lived in Boston for several years), su 30 mki and drove us directly to downtown Boston. We started to run the city thin, and stopped at the port. We went here at lunch, which we found in a food court in an old market hall. Today most of the day was spent in walking around the city together with Jane, and otherwise enjoyed the time alone in the apartment. Have now been great to be able to fix this blog and otherwise enjoy the peace. ;) Haha. Driller just miss you girls. ;)

You get out of the car with air conditioning. The humid air and the heat hits you once again. The smell of fish and other mixed stews spreads around you, and a heavy smell of cigarret- and bålrøg. You move through the narrow streets and neighborhoods. The houses are made of cold cement, with tin roofs that make the streets dark. The many children's eyes follow you, with a look that expresses their amazement at what you're doing here. A little girl of 5 years leading the way. Further into the middle of the neighborhood, she guides you up some small stairs that lead up to it, similar to a hollow of a tree. The girl shows a space of 2.5 x 2.5 meters. In the room there is a mattress, a teddy bear, a plastic bench and in the corner stands a small rice cooker. This space is her home. Here she lives with her mother, who is out working. The neighbors look after her, and let her watch TV in their home. This is her reality, this is her home - and her life. The girl fills you every day with smiles and laughter at MCM.
We have the last week visited 28 of the school's total of 38 sponsored children. The description above was one of the homes we visited. dekupazo technika We visited the children living with their grandparents as parents have had to travel abroad to earn money.
