BespaarBazaar.nl sent me a Pharox space expo noordwijk 400 LED lamp on the test. It is not the first Pharox LED lamp that I have owned. In 2009 I tested the same named Pharox LED lamp that its customers did OXXIO gift. The lamp gave little light and unsociable. I was totally impressed.
The lamp comes in a cardboard box with metal ends. Are a few details about the lamp on the packaging: space expo noordwijk Light output: 400 lumens Life: 35000 hours Power Consumption: 8W "Instant full light" Light Color: space expo noordwijk 2700K "Proven to last more than 100,000 on / off switches" Dimmable: Yes "Contains no mercury "Light output 400 lumens
Since the end of 2010 it is mandatory for lamp manufacturers to mention. The light output of a lamp in lumens This in itself is a good thing because different types of lamps (incandescent, saving, space expo noordwijk LED and halogen lamps) are themselves much better to compare, but many people (including me) think now still in a notional unit that I only " watt bulb "call; so I have the idea that in a reading light a 20W bulb is sufficient and a lamp in the living room 40W or 60W. Without looking up, I would not know how many lumens both applications would need.
LEDs of good quality that are not used outside of their specifications, which are able to last a long time, well-cooled in this case, therefore, the manufacturer specifies 35000 hours. If the lamp 24/7 would burn that would fairly space expo noordwijk exactly four years, and if the lamp is lit average four hours per day (in winter a little longer, summer shorter) he would be able to take 24 years. I do not have an easy opportunity to try this so we will on the manufacturer should go off. As I count in another article about an LED lamp life of great importance for the cost per hour light.
The infrared photo right shows that the heat sink of the lamp at the hottest point nearly 62 C, but most of it is much cooler, space expo noordwijk around 55 C. The light-emitting portion of the lamp itself has a temperature of around space expo noordwijk 35-40 C.
As a further well-designed LED lamp failure is that in nine out of ten cases not because the LEDs themselves are defective, but because the power supply built into the lamp is (the voltage into a low voltage for the LEDs) the moves. The lifetime is, therefore, mainly dependent on the quality of the power supply, and not so much the quality of the LEDs. What again important is that the LEDs are properly cooled, and Pharox was awarded a large ribbed heat sink. Electric power: space expo noordwijk 8W
The label states that the lampt has a power output of 8W. According to my Conrad Energy Monitor 3000 (almost ten years now!) This is quite right. Immediately after switching space expo noordwijk the lamp consumes 8.3 W, but within about a minute drop in to 8.0 W, and that value then remains constant.
The power factor of the lamp is 0.55 which consumes 14.4 VA. For households, this is not important but large companies on a 'bad' (far below a) power factor settled. space expo noordwijk "Instant full light"
I can only say that this is 100% true. While I'm here, no light meter looks for strong indeed that the lamp is lit immediately at full strength. Together with the fact that the lamp should be off cycles at much resistance makes this lamp suitable for placement in eg bathroom or hall closet.
The light color of a lamp is measured in Kelvin, and although the name of this unit is derived from the same named unit of temperature, it is not so that the lamp is actually a temperature of 2700K (2400 C).
A color temperature of 2700K means that the light from this lamp is about as hot as that of a standard bulb. It can be thus without more as a replacement of an incandescent lamp is screwed. "Proven to last more than 100,000 on / off switches"
One advantage of LED lights is that their life hardly reduced by many off cycles. I have no practical possibility to test the claim of the manufacturer - on average once a day on and off would be this value reached after more than 250 years - but I have to believe that it would not be true no reason. Dimmable: Yes
Not all LED bulbs are dimmable, while many people still want to dim their lights. To test how well this works, I plugged the lamp in two different dimmers. Because we do not have dimmers in the house, I did the two tests in other households.
To show how light reacts to the dimmer I made two movies. The camera compensates for the increasing and decreasing space expo noordwijk brightness of the lamp through the whole image darker respectively. light
