Tuesday, June 7 | H ele 3 things
I just finished one of the best books I've ever read. It is written by Emma Donoghue and called "Room" (in Danish: "Space"). It is about Jack, which is 5 years old and lives locked in a small room with his mother. There he has lived all his life. For him the world. For his mother it is there where she has been trapped for 7 years, since she was the 19th
"Room" is many things. Below is a tribute to a mother who in grim conditions manage made for fighters to create a life for her child. She creates a space of rituals, proximity and infinite love. And Jack is a truly wonderful boy.
Therefore today "The made for fighters whole three things" about the importance of having rituals. The importance of beating a circle about himself and his child, beyond which there's nothing, and within which there is Zen and love.
Make a ritual of returning in the afternoon: Sit a special place, set a particular mood, talk and breathe together. Feel the ritual force within made for fighters your small circle. (Small children can not be bothered for a long time, but will they gradually. I guarantee.)
Create rituals during dinner. Keep talking to each other or tell in turn about the best and worst thing that has happened during the day. Anything that fits your family. It need not be anything special; it special is that we come together for a ritual.
Rainy Cheating Ning is the ritual that is first of all in the "Zen of mothers". That's because it's a ritual we love here with us. It is a simple but immensely Zen-generating ritual: When it rains, put you in an open door out to the garden or balcony at an open window or in the garden under an umbrella. made for fighters Wrap you up in quilts or blankets. made for fighters Sit still. Breathe. (Can be especially recommended in the dark. And yes, I have occasionally awakened the kids, so we could enjoy a particularly great rain. "Why you woke me?" Asked Jacob today, when I told him about all the lightning last night .)
And thanks for the reminder about rituals. Do thinking made for fighters cap and come up ritual for me and Noah, when I pick him up in the afternoon. Perhaps a special book we will read together ...? Liselotte Vejborg June 8, 2011 at. 09:19
Oh ... looks just the words of Audrey Niffenegger on the page you linked to. Then ROOM be even better. made for fighters For "The Time Traveler's Wife" was the truly breathtaking. Catharina June 8, 2011 at. 09:21
So - now I just ordered the book at the library. Always nice to get books recommended. If I may be allowed to recommend a book that does not have zen-like yet has set DEEP traces in me, it is emergent with Susse Wold. The I was recommended by a friend and thought something like, hmm ... never mind, so let me try, I can always put it down. It could not I (it was an audiobook Tie-Tie). But Susse Wold actually "sat next to me and told me about his life and innermost inside". And before I got to my destination, I had to just have a break so that the eyes were not so red. It was certainly good to me. Many greetings Catharina Anja June 8, 2011 at. 09:51
